Terms and Conditions

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Paths (“Paths SM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of the Paths SM website, mobile experience, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, logging in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our End User License Agreement (EULA), and our Child Safety (CSAE) Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Paths SM. The Service is strictly for adults. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older, that you have not previously been removed from the Service for violating these Terms, and that you are legally able to enter into this agreement.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate, current information when registering, including your real date of birth (used for age verification and numerology-based matching).
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
• One account per person. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, or shared.
• Notify us immediately at support@pathsm.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Memberships and Subscriptions

Paths SM offers tiered memberships. Features and pricing are described in the app and may change over time:

Billing and renewal

• Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full card details.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel.
• You may cancel at any time from your account settings; your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and no refunds or credits are given for partial periods, downgrades, or unused features.
• We may change subscription prices with reasonable advance notice; changes apply at your next renewal.

5. Credits and Paid Features

• Paths SM offers virtual credits that can be purchased and used for in-app actions such as sending winks and virtual gifts.
• Credits have no cash value, are not redeemable for money, and are non-transferable between accounts.
• Credit purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by law.
• Unused credits may expire if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
• We may adjust the credit cost of in-app actions from time to time; the current cost is always shown before you confirm an action.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Misrepresent your identity, age, photos, or affiliations, or impersonate any person;
• Harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, defame, or abuse other members;
• Post content that is illegal, hateful, obscene, pornographic, violent, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
• Engage in or promote any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation — we maintain a zero-tolerance CSAE policy and report violations to law enforcement;
• Solicit money, passwords, or personal financial information from other members, or engage in scams, romance fraud, or commercial spam;
• Use the Service for prostitution, human trafficking, or any unlawful purpose;
• Scrape, harvest, or collect member data, or use bots or automation to access the Service;
• Reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Service or its security features;
• Create an account on behalf of someone under 18 or allow a minor to use your account.

7. Member Content

You retain ownership of the photos, videos, audio, posts, comments, and other content you submit (“Member Content”). By posting Member Content you grant Paths SM a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content within the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service. You represent that you have all rights to the content you post and that it does not violate these Terms. We may review, moderate, or remove any Member Content at our discretion, including content reported by other members.

8. Safety and Interactions with Other Members

Paths SM does not routinely conduct criminal background checks on members. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, online and offline. Use caution when sharing personal information and when meeting in person — meet in public places and tell someone where you are going. Use the in-app report and block tools to flag concerning behavior, or contact us at support@pathsm.com.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, our CSAE Policy, or applicable law, or to protect the Service or our members. Upon termination your license to use the Service ends, and any remaining subscription period or credits may be forfeited where the termination is for cause.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that you will find matches, connections, or any particular result, that numerology-based compatibility insights are accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paths SM and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the conduct of any member on or off the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred dollars ($100).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Paths SM from any claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your Member Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Paths SM is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at support@pathsm.com so we can try to resolve the dispute informally.
